its got nothing to do with what people have beat. please take care in reading the topic title before you think of posting. it helps to understand the topic before you begin.

thanks, from the moderation team.

I'm aware of what the title is, but on the first two pages there are alot of posts about beating people hence where my replys come from, please tell me how any of your posts have been relevent. Infact don't, if you want to carry on the U2U button is worth while using.

i own a corsa. i owned an xe. i raced stuff with it. whats more relevant than that? owning the car in question, and racing stuff with it?

you havent owned one. you have no relevance in this post.

on a side note, can you u2u me a track set up for a corsa suspension wise etc please as you said you knew a lot about the chassis etc. this isnt a piss take. i want to know what you recommend so i can try different stuff.

But none of your comments have been about anything you'd played with at all.

Unless you fancy converting the front to double wishbone you've not got much hope.

some 3 way Nitrons, ecentric top mounts, roll centre adjusters, camber shims on the rear or have the beam machined, one piece rear uprights.

Had Davs old banana Corsa from Redline. Nailed throttle bodies on it and killed CTR's, a Clio 182 Cup and harassed a 350bhp Evo 3.
That was 1600 xe and no weight in shell.
It aint bout power, its power to weight. Plus you launch a Scooby hard to many times and clutch starts to fry so can be beaten with a competent driver at the wheel of an XE Corsa

Scooby debate was funny. Low powered scoobys are a little slower than an XE corsa at speed, its called transmission losses. Off the line the corsa has no chance. I've dabbled with some, i beat a few, lost out to more than I beat though

Civic Type R's, D4 was a little bit slower at top end.

Clio - Had a few dabbles, was about on par.

Hyundi coupe 2.7 V6. He wasn't happy.

All fiestas at the time, 1.6, and 2.0.

BMW 325i (E30). He'd pull between 90-120, ceratinly the BMW was the quicker car, but when it came to top top end, the BMW slightly lost out, which I was suprised. Ahhhh days of the A127 when cameras were not about yet

Astra GTE's, always win acceleration, top end was always the same.

Personnnally I never had much of a problem with 16v Saxos, but i've seen many XE's also being thrashed by them.

V6 Cav, well I say beat, but I didn't, I was beaten, very very marginally though. Similar to the Type R's distance.

Clio 16v's etc (1.8). Few R5 turbos, few RS turbos. Although once I tried it on with a convertable RS converted Escort, 3 up. It made me look silly

Celica T sport 190's, etc. Again, similar performance.

I got rid of mine too early to pay against these modern bread hot hatches

OK cars up to 100mph, but after that a lot of things will leave it standing.

Most races were on a saturday night going to/coming back from Southened. ahhhhhh good times

That car (Daveys, formally Rentons, formally Lee Mannings), ran a 6.39 0-60mph, none of this stopwatch sh1t too!!

That car was so much fun, spitting and popping flames. Quite a few new engines though

I've been out in that car plenty of times. Its quick, but it wouldn't get near a 350bhp evo, end of story.

Really? LAME.

First it was all clear, just had to watch out for old bill.

Then they started using the little tripod speed cameras. ansty mofo's, used to hide in all the bushes down the side of the road. Knew LOADS of peopel who got caught there. Would have to wait till the last part of the A127, then M25.

Then it got more serious, speed cameras at traffic lights, police cars sitting on the side of the road all the way down.

Now average cameras Booooooooooooo

Is southend still busy these days? Not been there for years now. Might go down this summer on the bike and park up in the middle like all the other chavvy power rangers.

BRING BACK THE TWO ROUNDABOUTS

It did trust me
Was a put up or shut up moment on a track day, earned me some coin in process and scored one for the Corsa
With throttle bodies and remapped it threw a 5.8sec 0-60mph.
Its now running in the Toyo Tyre championship and is owned by the son of car dealer in Brighton.
Wish I had the coin now to buy it back
