How a corsa can constantly pull away from a ctr until it hits vtec is just bollocks.
Plus when racing the ctr will pretty much always be in the vtec region.
IIRC it kicks in at 5k rpm and at 6k rpm the lift controllers kick in on a ctr? Something like that.
Vtec kicks in @ 5800-8200 on a standard ep3 IIRC... once mapped usually lowered around 5k or below and raised to 9k (ish)
I can imagine it being very close with a healthy ep3 vs healthy corsa xe with similar driving abilities... 1200kgs 197 bhp vs 1050kgs 150bhp?

They are very similar having owned both for some time but I have to admit it once the ctr hits the magic vtec (I hate saying that lol) it comes into it's own. The corsa does feel quicker but in real life the ctr is quicker.

I loved every minute of driving my XE, thats what its all about, not what you can beat.
There will always be something faster.

The thing is, my one isn't THAT bad because its an ancient light stripped out thing so it doesn't have much weight to pull

We know the CTR is better just trying to identify if it's faster

You don't get the new accounts from younger drivers either. Like how the XE went past at 149mph on an F20.

Need to remember though that with a digi dash fitted,it will do 157mph because the digi dash is so accurate because its digital.
And even though it stops at 157mph,but still keeps revving, that means that its doing a genuine 157mph+.Even on an F20.

I heard if you get an F28 and take out 6th you have a close ratio F20.

My 2.0 Redtop done a VTR no problem beat a VTS aswell but that was neck and neck, there cheap and fun though no way do they beat Impreza/Evos or M3's but people get a shock especially if you buy a sleeper, if you want to give the bigger cars a run go for a C20let thats what i want
