Thanks for them pics Dan

Ive bee and collected my C20XE corsa track project today the plan is to remove the engine and fully rebuild it. As you can see there are plenty of spares. There are some pics below:

Id love your opinions please

Any advice or pointers on anything you see will be greatly apreciated. Does anyone know from the pics:
1. The springs are lowering springs is there any way of telling their load (i.e. Lbs)?
2. Is the oil filter usually located there as it looks strange?
3. Can you tell Which type drive shafts they are and if they will be sufficient? (F16 Box)
4. Is the Mtec power cap any good?

Thanks for the comment, You can never have enough matey!
I bought this cause i thought it was only a matter of time until i broke the sport tracking it so decided a dedicated XE was the way forward as my sport is my daily and id be buggered without it!

Looking good Cal!

Didn't know this is what you had planned. Plans sound good anyways. Make it a strong XE so it can be abused!

So the plan is keep the sport for daily? Then use this as a track car/project?

Cheers buddy! i didnt know i had this planned either! I just saw it and thought that i had done enough talkin bout XEs so was bout time i got one.

Yer sport as a daily and XE as a dedicated track car. Thats the short term anyway.

Done a bit more on the XE today. The head is ready to come off, the only thing holding it is one anoying pipe i forgot thats under the inlet manifold.

I have found that the engine thats in the car is a 20XE and the one in the boot is a C20 XE. Does anyone know what if anything is the difference between the 2?

Engine in car: 20 XE 14024525
Engine in boot: C20 XE 14165167

20xes are non cat engines and supposed to be almost 160 and the c20xe is 150, c20xe have cats the 20xes tend not to
