i dont see why there is so much belief we wont get out of the group, we are nowhere near good enough winning or probably not even semis but ffs england even that squad is better then ukraine and sweden as long as they dont play like muppets

im not suggesting england will get out of the group, it wouldnt surprise me if they didnt, but people are going about acting like its impossible and will be a surprise if they do, it certainly wouldnt surprise me if they did either

You say Holt would get schooled, didn't everyone say that when we got promoted to the Premier League?

He deserved a chance more of a chance then Carrol anyway, I am pleased Ruddy got called up even if he is third choice good experience for him.

Let's not forget Holts bullet header at the cop end for 1-1 and him ripping arsenals defence to pieces.

He was never, ever gonna get a chance. Unfashionable club? Maybe. It just highlights the problems England have, the fact that we don't have many decent players, not world class, anyway. We're always trying out new strikers, a problem in itself.

?

True, could be just because we are a 'small' club, just highlights everything which is wrong.

We go for the same old has beens and it never ever works out, Hodgson failed with Liverpool and he will fail with England.

I dont fully agree with hodgsons squad but i also dont agree with taking holt, hes too old now, whats the point in taking someone that just happens to be in form this year but by the next tournament will be to past it to feature

this euros is pretty much a freebie, and should have been used as an experiment to squad a load of youngsters

True, but don't see what next tournament has to do with it? As long as he scores the goals this year and helps.

I am suprised Micah Richards isn't in the squad.

Ruddy has broken his finger in training.

Shittest luck ever.

19 year old Butland called up to replace him.

England midfielder Gareth Barry ruled out of Euro 2012 with abdomen injury. Everton defender Phil Jagielka called up.
