Cook says use it for now. Like how you removed part of my comment to take it completely out of context.
I didn't say no to google, apple did
Your last comment is ironic considering your responses.

It isn't, it's broken. Broken to point that the CEO has had to publicly apologise to the users. So broken, that the CEO has suggested to users that they should use rival mapping applications until they fixed this cock up of huge proportions.
quote: just needs more data
This comment is clearly wrong; it doesn't just need "more data". The 'data' they have is, to put it bluntly, fucked and they need to replace/correct it.
And this isn't going to be a quick fix, rather it's going to be years before they even get the app to barge pole distances of Google Maps. And Apple know this, hence why they've been scrambling to hire GIS contractors and poaching current and ex-Google GIS staff to try and patch it up.
It was potentially a great idea but it's been horribly, horribly executed by Cook & Co.
As for my comment about you talking complete and utter drivel, i still stand by this. I don't doubt you're a sound guy but when you wade it technical threads you come across as a blinded clueless muppet.

Besides vectored data, that reduces load time, what is better about it? Turn-by-turn?
Besides all the stuff that's in the wrong places or completely missing, navigating the maps is tedious as Apple has decided to remove most labels to get at more "stylish" look.
Also, Google Maps supported walking routes and public transport (albeit in beta form) which Apple Maps do not.
I don't see anything better about it at all, tbh.

iOS 6 is a load of shite. Internet keeps hanging for no reason at all, on numerous wireless networks. Also, give me back google maps.

Hang on mate ill just get you one of these,
But then I guess you'll also be needing one of these after the hole you dug during 'inductive charging' discussion.

It was nothing to do with baiting it was to do with the massive holes you keep digging yourself when attempting to respond to my posts, like when I made the inductive charging comment and you spouted on for about 4 pages before Apple confirmed exactly what I'd said.
Then I mentioned Apple dropped Google partly due to them wanting more personal data and you commented saying 'says the guy with the gmail account' as if it was me personally that made the decision.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tim Cook suggested people use other the other map apps so they can see how crap they are too.
Apple maps directed me to the Trafford centre and back on Sat perfectly without me having to look at phone rather than having to follow a blue dot a click forward on the directions every two minutes.

I don't like iOS 6. At all.
They've went backwards with how it looks and how it works. Very poor.

Im sorry but anyone who dosnt move photos off a phone, and sync it and back it up before an update, or loses it on a night out, has no ground to moan.

And my 2 year old Andriod phone manages that just fine too.

Another reason for how shit they are then isn't it really. Andriod and Nokia have been doing VOICE GUIDED NAVIGATION for years
