Marca (yes that biased scumbag paper in Madrid who have caused all this shite) are reporting this morning that Alonso is still miles away from becoming a Madrid paper as we still want a min of €38m, where as the max RM will offer with add ons is €30m.

Was in the echo yesterday that they are closer to our asking price? I'm 95% sure this is going to happen now, bit unsure of aquilani as a replacement he's out until september, keener on that stevn defour tbh. Although Lucas and Corinthians have been linked again so maybe we will get both (  doubt that will happen).

Lucas wont go anywhere, its a bit of a stupid link that has been flying round about him for a year or so now.
I have no idea whats going to happen with this deal for Alonso, apparently he is travelling to Norway today with us, so a deal cant be that close. A deadline needs to be put on it tbh, as if he does go, its going to take us a bit of time to get someone in and they'll need as much time as possible to get settled into the side before the season starts and we only have 2 friendly games left.

I'd rip their hands off for £20mill for Lescott, personally i don't think Senderos is much worse, has just made a couple of high profile mistakes and been slated for it, £13m + Sendoros, can't complain

Senderos is no where near as good a defender as Lescott lets not kid yourself. He is certainly not worth £6M either considering Vidic went for not much more...and Skrtel was slightly more too...
Sure Agger was less than £6M too.

He scored 17 goals for us in our championship relegation season surrounded by useless players!
so we're all rather excited about how many he might get in a good side challenging for promotion in a weaker league!
He's 26/1 to be League1 top scorer, defo worth £5
