I was side by side with a new civic type r a few days ago, up to 70+10mph.

The driver must've been a right shitebag. I could hear he was absolutely wringing it's neck. It sounded awesome.

The idea is you only sand very lightly, it shouldn't be taking you 7 hours to do a bonnet! I doubt you'll have much clear coat left on that now

Too me less time to do an entire bloody car!

There's loads of clear coat left, i can tell, doing it by hand is a bad idea it will leave uneven bits.

i only flatted back the lacquer, the only paint i added was with a cocktail stick into the stone chips.

You had a heated debate with me telling me how there was LOADS of clear coat left and you'll be able to polish it backup.. Just admit you fucked it

I wet sanded it with the intention of adding lacquer afterwards, maybe you misunderstood.

Since adding the lacquer i've wetsanded it again and going to add more lacquer this week, then wetsand it again and then polish that back up

You understand the point of wet sanding right? The whole point is to machine polish it back up... Otherwise you might as well have just scotched it up and then clear coated it, the clear coat will not adhere that well to a wet sanded surface.
