when ur takin a fizzy drink down in one, why does your throat start to hurt?

i thought its somethin to do with the fizz, but i dont really know the explanation. i saw the strongbow advert wher them 2 guys are eatin crackers n get dry mouths. they then drink the strongbow down continuously for a bit. i was thinkin why cant i do that with coke or fizzy drinks.

ive only ever managed half a can, and when i took the last gulp, my throat hurt like fook!

why does this happen?

i drink like half a can in 1 go and when i take another gulp my throat starts killin.

doesnt it happen to u ppl

but still drinks its alright. like ribena, mineral water, all that stuff. just with fizzy drinks

yes its the carbon gasses reacting with the sensitive nerves and glands on the back of your mouth
