Was tightening some bolts in the engine and put a little too much energy into one and broke it. so unfortunatly the remaining part of the bolt in still in the hole. 
Just wondering if anyones done the same or know how to get the rest of the bolt out.
should i take a small drill and put a hole in the remaining part and then try and twist it back out.

have u not got enough showing to put a groove in it so u can knock it out with a chisel or something?

top of engine. bolt is about 2mm deep so can't get anything to grab onto it.
just had another thought...could put drill into reverse, should come out well.
its not rustered or anything. what ya rekon?

Where does the bolt go? What size is it?
You can get things called 'easyouts' that are basically a spiral that you put into a hole that you drill in the shaft, then twist, it grips out takes it out.

can you cut a small slot into the remaining part and use a flat-blade screwdriver on it? Thats a good tip if their is enough showing.

u can drill it out with a smaller drill,
grind a point on some kind of centre punch and knock it anti clockwise
get a proper tool to do it as mentined above or buy a new block

got the drill and set it to reverse, soon came out.

Easyouts are a pile of shite! Has anyone had any success whatsoever with one of these!? Granted I'm usually working on rusty old landrovers when I break bolts but still.....!
