No. You're right and ill be honest and say ive never been in a cossie... but given that sort of cash i would rather have something else. I just dont like Fords.
Alfa GTV maybe, or Ibiza Cupra, or Mk1 Golf Gti, etc... plenty i would rather have TBO.

Cossies are great fun and great performance for the money, just look dated imho, if i was gonna get one (which i might one day, now that i have a garage) it would have to be either a 3 door or a scort. Two of my mates have em(saphs) and they are both highly tuned, one to about 380bhp and the other about 300, for the money the performance is awesome, but the thing that puts me off is the look really, great fun to drive though, would MUCH rather have one over a 2.0litre corsa.

Totally agree mate, and all that stuff about fords being unreliable is bollocks.

They were a good car in their day, but are getting old so finding a good one would not be easy.
I used to own a 2wd sapphire cosworth a few years back, they're good fun for an experienced driver but an inexperienced driver would probably stick it a field on its roof.
Running costs also are through the roof, fuel/tyres/oil changes/engine rebuilds.
Stick with a 2.0 corsa and same yourself alot of hassle/money.

my m8s 2 yr old zetec s has been back to ford 3 times once for rust. once for cat and another time, i cant remember.
fords are unreliable. but the cosworth isnt really made by ford.
most bits are modified by cosworth.

Wud have to agree with mr lucky b
They look old most are tatty and I cudn't bring myself to spend that amount of money on what is at the end of the day a sierra.
I wud be gutted knowing I could have had a much 'newer' style car, and you'll spend silly money on running it if tuned.

Thats what I'm trying to tell the old man, but he just won't listen!
TBH I would rather have a 2ltr Corsa than a Saph Cossie, even when I'm offered half the money to buy one!
Just need to try & persuade him...
