You'll need a better amp than those shitty Alpines

Shut it! Thats similar to what my set up will be, but i will have 2 12" JL W3V2 - D4's, 2x Alpine MRD-M300's, Alpine MRV-F540 and focal front comps.

Already have the MRV-F540 and 1 MRD-M300, just need another and the subs!

Why bother with alpine amps, everybody knows that they are crap and dont give anywhere near as much power as they state.

You'd be better off going for something like a decent DLS mono.

Whats the point of getting great subs when you going to be running naff amps, might aswell buy some vibe subs instead!!

People have budgets u see. If i wanted JL amps too i wud never be able to afford it, i got the alpine amps off a m8, only paid £80 for the mono and £100 for the 4 channel, they reail at £250 and £400 so it was worth doing IMO.

I have a budget too, it's taken me quite some time to save it all up. I just spent £2k on a lot of Boston gear thats arriving in a couple of days.

IMO, if you are going to do something at least do it properly and spend the extra dollars, it will be worth it in the long run.

Yes u r right, but alpine is not a bad make, my current stuff is cheap alpine and good JBL and it sounds really good for what it is.
I have heard lots of alpine stuff and like the sopund and know that the MRD-M300 amp will power the JL sub fine. I cn always change them to JL or summat else when i finish uni and actually have some money!

Those subs are got 2 in mine and sound amazingIMO

If i was buying amps again to run them i would either go for a Pheonix Gold Tantrum 1200.1d or a Directed Audio 1100d, but im not sure of prices on those, and for the components which are good, then a smaller same range amp like tantrum 300.2 or Directed 600 i think it is
