Depends where in the UK you are I suppose.
Beardy is based up in Manchester, Lee is based in Kent. As you live in Newbury, get Lee to do it!

for doing an LET conversion, been looking at prices of engines on migweb compared to buying a complete calibra turbo, and the cars are now a little cheaper than just engine & box! but it just makes it a bit more work removing the engine from the donor car first

Yeah, probably be easier to buy a accident-damaged Calibra or Cavalier turbo (with known good engine), transplant the engine, and sell whatever parts are left on the car that are in good condition!

Thought Chris worked in a warehouse for someone like MFI, or a company like that? And doesn't he live in/near Leeds not St Albans?

Yeah that sounds about right, plus about £1.5k (ish) for fitting etc- well when I asked Lee that's wot he told me it'd be roughly. But back then he'd never done a C20LET conversion before so didn't really know tbh

well I'm gona be taking on the job myself within first half of next year when building my next corsa, will be fun! I'm in no hurry building it mind, so will probably take a few months to do it, just take my time & make sure everything is sorted (engine rebuild, brakes, suspension, etc)
