ages ago with a max power mag or one of the others i got a potn catalouge (or something like it) and it had a three point harness in it that had a detachable rear strap bit that goes from the back of the seat (over your shoulders) down to the back of the car - it had like a normal seatbelt buckle and a pull thing that wound the belt up when not in use - they wernt that expensive and would be ideal for me so that i could still use my back seats when i needed to - my problem is my mum has been ona cleaning rampage and potn's website is arse - anyone know what they were where u can get them and if they are any good?

Thats the whole point. If you can move in harnesses, then should you have an accident, you will break your collarbone.
But I agree with you Vibrio, in road cars they are pointless.

They give that touring car look. looks far better and when u have buckets in the car u dont really want to have the standard belts.
Id have harnesses over standard seat belts any day.

They may look better, but people need to realise that if the harnesses are loose and the person can move about in the seat, then they are at risk of breaking their collerbone should severe braking or an accident happen, forcing them forwards.
Harnesses are designed to strap you into the seat, but if they arent used properly, then they can be dangerous.

i getting harnesses and since my normal seatbelt is faulty and donsnt move any way im used to it
ill be glad of my harneses

Must admit, I feel a lot safer in harnesses than seatbelts.
All I was saying above was, anyone with harnesses, make sure you have them pulled tight (but not cutting off circulation!) so that they do hold you into your seat

i got a pair when i put my buckets in and at first they are so uncomfortable,cant turn round when reversing,lean over to get a cd etc also they aint as quick as just putting a seatbelt on. the thing is they do look good as i got some made in silver and after a while you get used to them,makes my bird get even more clevage to which is a bonus

Noticed that when I was taking people around Knockhill for rides. Tis very hand when a nice blonde wants to clamber over the roll cage and then needs a hand fitting her chest behind the harnesses!

they are a pain sometimes when at junctions and having to make sure they are tight when you buckle up but you get used to it

i firstly got mine for looks but i find they make me feel alot safer if i was to have an accident and its an excuse not to taxi ppl about in the back coz its a bitch to get in even with recliners.
