This looks 2 me to be the nicest head unit ever, its got everything i need and want and more, just wondering if there any good anthing i need extra to fit a multimdia screen and whats clarion like as a make, good bad? Ive got a pioneer deh 3oor and IMO its the worst head unit ive ever heard, crap sound. crap build quality nice oel tho.
Any thoughts?

Looks well good IMO..... Price isnt bad either just over 1k.

nope, wanted one, but was going to be a lot of hassle, trying to connect it in with all the kit i have at the moment. Would have to change the DSP aswell.

Hi, sure is one very nice unit anyway in answer to the original question had a Clarion Minidisc headunit in the Corsa for over a year now and have been well impressed. Sound quality is fantastic and never had any probs...also My dads had an older minidisc HU in his car for about 3 and a half years now, also no problems at all and excellent unit. Personally i think clarion are overlooked with Alpine and Pioneer being most popular, altho sum clarion stuff doesnt look that flash or have as many features as some, SQ is top notch and seem reliable...certainly happy with mine. Hope That helps.,

Actually they are overpriced, not overrated. They are packed full of features and the 8500MP is the only unit ive come accross out of all units ive seen to have independent front & rear bass & treble controls.
