my outside temp guage (i take it thats what it is on my top display- 96 corsa SRI) it keeps reading -4.5 degrees or a temp along that line when i know its not that cold. my mate has the same car and his will read like 3 degrees.
just wondering what is could be causing this prob? the temp guage on my dash is fine
please help me.

it oculd be the temp sensor itself. its just behind your front bumper. Have u had a look at that? u could try changing it and see if the fault goes away. u could even jus swap it for your mates see if that fixes the prob, then buy a new one if it does.

That is 99% guaranteed to be the problem. Those sensors are notorious for failing.
