I got a new h/u plugged it in to check everything was working then once I saw it was I pushed all the wires down to the back and then slotted the head unit in til it clicked home. The problem is that it went off as soon as I did this. I put the old one back in and it worked and tried the new h/u in another car. The only thing I didnt try, cos I couldnt was the ISO lead that came with it. Do you think Ive squashed it some how? Oh and I did check it with a multi meter and all pins have a flow through them. Any ideas??

its not that mate. I tried the h/u in a mates car and it worked perfectly. And I had the ignition off too so it couldnt have blown the fuse

Ah right, im with you now what happened lol.

Right only things it could have been:

1.Bullet connector come loose in harness while you were squashing it all in.
2.Something shorted temporarily.
3.Pin wiggled or come loose in ISO block.

I wouldnt worry about it mate, just check out the harness, and wrap it with insulation tape so its sturdy.
