Rung them today to get a quote for insurance on a 1.5 LSi 1996 Civic. Got told that they wont insure me, as they wont insure anyone under 21 with a group 10 or above car.
Now this really pisses me off because I am already insured with them for my Corsa which is group 2, and I can get an online quote with them for a group 10 yet can't actually get insured with them.
Pisses me off so much because I really wanted the Civic, its a great bargin for the one I want aswell............ah SHIT!!!
Anybody else had this problem and found a way around it or owt??

that is true, they wouldnt insure my mate on a clio 16v until he was 21, so he waited 2 months then used them and it was 700 cheaper than the next cheapest insurer.

Yeah but rather than trying to be a smart arse, think. Do I really wanna change companies and loose the moths I have been building up my no claims?? No I think not.

But are Elephant as good with mods as LV are??
I was planning on kitting the Civic up and getting some nice rims and ICE etc. So Elephant may end up costing a lot more.

Havn't liverpool victoria also got a new policy where you pay an extra 10% on top of premium and you can do anything to the engine as long as the size 1400/1600 etc stays the same?? Im hoping to use this loophole to get a R5 turbo lump in my 1.4 Rt clio. Anybody know?

Nah I think it already stands that you can do anything to the car as long as you dont change the engine size for no extra premium.

Whats wrong with the LSi??
1.5, got a VTec on it, not amazingly fast but not bad. Plus its the best engine I can afford on a Civic really to insure, the VTi would be nice but group 16

its slow though, the LSi is the economy model & its only 90bhp
a 1.4 16v is group 5 and 90bhp also!
