Ok- in the handbrake handle in the first pic (link below) does anyone know if it is at all possible to remove the silver bit to retrim the black leather??

sorry but it looked lonely as no one had replyed
so looking at them pics they change it as its an insert so i was guessing that yes

plus in the max power haynes manual they tried that handbrake handles and it didnt work properly coz it fouled the pastic cetre bit near the gearstick
