Passed my test recently. Is pass plus worth doing ??
Which companies reduce premiums and by how much ???
I want something with a bigger engine than a 1.poo so will a pass plus be better for me if i get a 1.6 etc. ??

pass plus is shite and if youve been driving for a short while sonce you passed, then you will have picked up habits that will get you in trouble during your pass plus

yeh pass plus is a piece of piss, only 6 hours driving and its not a test - you just have to prove your up to a standard... basically worth a years ncb (supposedly)
knocked quite a lot off my premium

When I was aged 17 fully comp in my name with Norwich Union, without pass plus was £3000 something with pass plus it came down to £1272 (plus deposit) - You decide
Also the actual course is piss, was charged £70 to do mine

i paid 40 quid for pass plus my instructor just gave me the certificate but i aint used it cos there are hardly any companies which accept it and the ones that do are overpriced and it only brings it down to what the good insurance companies quote you anyway. so u decide whats best

I think some people forget what pass plus is about, and that is to teach you how to drive on certain roads, which you never ever even touch when learning to drive.
But I think it is worth it. Taught me alot and gave me 1yrs no claims bonus before i even started driving.
Been driving four years and have five years no claims
I'm only 21 and pay £320 a year fully comp on my Corsa
