Ok, i have a webcam. It wont work.
i have done the msn wizard thing and the camera works fine but when i send the invitation to the other person its doesnt show, freezes my msn, then logs me off it. does this on msn and yahoo.
I dont have a firewall up when i run it, i have windows xp, its a cheap ass labtec camera, and i dont have a clue.

Eh, what you on about. How am i a perv. I have a wee nephew and niece in america and i wanna see them grow up.

Have you tried looking for updated drivers mate, there may have been a bug with the manufacturer drivers that were sent with it, try having a scout and see if there is anything new.
What you often find with things like this is that the camera didnt have specific XP drivers made at the time so you may find the right ones on the net somewhere.
