Im with Tesco insurance on my corsa B, at the moment ive got smoked lexus clusters and DTM indicater mirrors and next week my 16" MM EVO 5 alloys and Sebring 6x4 exhaust is going on, should i tell them about these mods? Anyone know how much my premium will go up, im paying £350 on fathers name at the moment,

well if you crash your insurance will be null & void and you'll probably get done for it also if you involve another car

all you have to do is ring your insurance and say

"im thinking of making a few modifications to my car, can you tell me how much it would add to my premium" then tell them what you have

simple as that

well i am with tesco and i did that and he told me as long as u dont make performance changes then it doesnt affect ure policy. i am sceptical about this and feel i may ring them back and ask for this in writing

Unless their policy varies with age, i doubt it. They wanted an extra £100 to put my alloys on the car for a year!

Yeah, your right, this may sound silly but is there anyway you can insure your car with styling mods on but say if something does happen the insurance dont pay for it, do you get what i mean? Kinda have them on with insurance knowing but not actually insured,

ring them and ask them is ure best bet unless someone from tesco ins happens to browse these pages and answers ure questions

they told me that i can mod the car as much as i liked but not to touch the engine.. all i have to do is hand over pics of receipts if i crash ar anyhting is stolen

i woz wiv tesco, i ad alloys, magnex full system and green air filter! i was intendin to declare them, but i didnt have time b4 i wrote it off! they still gave me £2500 for the car that i only paid £800 for! but i wud delcare them neway jus 2 b on da safe side
