Right, first off i'm capable of doing some simple wiring but thats about the extent of my electrical skills!!
I want to put interior neons in my footwells, so its only two, but i want to hard wire them, rather than try to mess about with the cigarette adapters. What i want to know is what do i do with the two wires i've got left when i cut the adapter off, in other words, how would i go about connecting them up sensibly, directly to the battery? I'm not bothered about them coming on with the ignition cos i'm gonna put a switch in.
Would i wire them up seperately with a switch for each or can i (hopefully)have them both wired up to one switch?
Can anyone help me please?
Cheers.

Been at work tonight talking to someone bout them and they want to put one in their boot. We werent sure if he'd just be able to remove cig adapt and wire it up to exisiting boot interior light wiring. Would that work?

It may not, if its just a normal size ciggy plug then probably yes, but if it is larger than normal its probably got the starter for the neon inside it.
