I have just phoned AXA my insurance and they say they will cover me on all modifications I have except for the 17" wheels cos they dont think Vauxhall legislate for that size wheel, they reckon that they normally only allow an extra 2" so it would be 16" on my GSI as it originally came with 14's. If anyone knows this information I would be very greatful if you could help me out so basically what do Vauxhall allow the wheel size to go upto on a GSI ? many thanks Paul...

the GSI did only have 14's but i got 17's on mine and that was no problem with the insurers

Yes but different insurers have different rules, its propper p!ssing me off cos I got all me mods done without telling the insurance but now I want to tell them incase of the worst especially in this weather so I think the best bet is for me to ring the local vauxhall garage cheers mate thanks for yer help think everyone else must still be in bed, Regards Paul...

Just say to them that vauxhall will sell you, and fit 17" wheels for your corsa.

Vauxhall sell Irmscher wheels which are now available for the Corsa C (so will fit corsa b too) in 17".

I was insured with AXA at one stage. Good to see you have some sense and tell them of you mods.
Obvoiusly you have to play be their rules and if they say extra 2" from OE size then it is. Any bigger, it may seem to them as a liability and safety wise. Also dont think AXA insure 'lowered' cars on the grounds of being unsafe. Durrrr.
