Going to Lakeside Karting Raceway in a coupla weeks... Anyone ever been there before? Apparently it's a 900m circuit with 400cc karts... quick or?

think i've been there before a couple of years ago. karts were very quick... but it's more difficult this time of year cos the track get's damp as the day goes on (well on a dry day anyway )

it's excellent... just started remembering the track... first 2 corners are quite lairy (they're the ones that get damp as the day goes on) then it's 1 long straight with a chicane half-way down... just floor it all the way down.

IIRC you can get up to speeds of 40-50mph down that straight.

but it was a couple of years ago

think we paid £70 for the whole night... that was for 30 odd people... had 4 heats each, 5 laps per heat... plus final was 10 laps if you made it
