i seriously hate zetec-s' tho, a 1.6 16v engine in a modern supposedly 'hot hatch' should really perform better, same can be said for corsa 1.6 16v sport but thats got more potential.

106 gti and VTS are relevant to my point im tryin 2 make as they're the banch mark for this genre of hot hatches, fast, fun, and cheap.

the ford is slow, weak, but i'll give it points for the fact that it looks ok standard.

wudnt have one personaly tho

The Zetec-S was not designed to be a 'hot hatch', its a 'warm hatch' like the Saxo VTR, hense the insurance group of 8 instead of the 'hot hatch' insurances groups of 14/15. A standard Zetec-S, although it has a 1.6 16 valve engine is not in the same league as the VTS/106 GTi because it simple was not meant to be. However, the Zetec-S does seem to respond reasonably well to tuning, which does allow it to rise nicely above its standard quoted performance figures.

^^ Most Zetec S drivers seem to think its the best hot hatch in the world, they constantly try it on with me

That stereotype can be placed with most car enthusiasts (sorry, crap spelling! Lol), people say the same things about Saxo owners, or Nova owners or even corsa owners. Means nothing really.

Lol, well if its any help, I wouldnt bother trying it on with a Civic Type-R, I know my limitations! Lol . But the thing with me is that I dont take it so seriously, if someone wants to try it on, i might rise to the challange and if i loose then i give the old thumbs up to the winner and carry on. In my eyes it was just a bit of fun and interesting to compare against other cars.

On the other hand, racing is bad and you shouldnt do it. Shame on you people for implying such a thing!, LOL only kiddin guys!
