I want to run two amps in my install and i was wondering about the remote cable, can it just be split two ways and still do the same job

mine goes into one amp then out of that and into the other, if that makes sence

You usually can run up to 3 amps off a 500ma remote cable before pushing your luck.
If you are worried, use a relay.
