i always thought it was illegal to sell the car but not inforn the buyer of the fact its 2 car's
but not illegal to carry out the work

Its not illegal to do a cut and shut its not illegal to sell a cut and shut its just fuckin dangerous cos most ain't done properly

it depends what you call a cut and shut - if it is using less than a certain percentage of another car then no its not illegal and no you dont require an engineers report - its just considered to be repaired - if it has been a writeoff and then repaierd to be on the road then you need to inform the peeps when selling - but nowadays that info should be in the logbook - which noone would bye a car without.
