I hav had a long think bout this but i stil dont kno wot 2 do, if i get the door handles smoothed and get a button under my mirror then thats fine, but wot bout if the button doesn't work for sum reason i won't b able to get in my car But then again it looks well nice with smoothed doors.
Do uz reckon i shud get my door handles smoothed?? Or not....

yes do it, you can get in the car, m2rv_h locked his kjeys in the car once, he has dehandled doors and boot, still managed to get in though.

So there is a chance that the electrics will fcuk up now and again, but its easy enough 2 get in without damage.
If it does happen where i cant get i will probably b that pissed off i wud end up punchin the window thro anyway
So uz reckon i shud get it dun?

a 1/4 windows really not that dear if u were to get locked out. looks the dogs bollox and everyones impressed when they see...

me and stubbsy hve it done, if they fail - we have back up cables hidden on the car that are mechanical - pull them and door opens

what bout if you have a bad crash and your knocked out. how are the emergency team gunna get into your car. im just gunna smooth the handle into the door. will still look good

it is not only an mot failure but illegal to drive a car with out at least one means of getting into the car from the outside on the car, e.g. tvr button.

as long as u have a way of entering the car from the outside there is no problem, TVR have got the button under mirror systerm

no, this is untrue, any garage will yell you/make you put a button or simular device on the outside. i have been told by the police themselves on this issue.

It aint an MOT fail and it aint illegal...
All dehandled cars (icludin mine) jus get out into MOT with window down... an roberts your fathers brother

notts police told me that you have to fit someway of opening the door from the outside didnt think of the DOT.
kinda makes the work ive done a bit pointless now
im a bit pssed off tho
