where abouts you going?
i went to a village near tsavo national park for 2 weeks followed by a week in mombasa this was in july/august.
the village was cold, but mombasa was bloody hot, do not use anything below 20 - 30 spf suncream, the sun is so strong its untrue, oh the indian ocean is about 29 degrees, lovely.
its a very poor country, you always get people asking you for money and getting hassled to buy things, dont show off any valuables. stick in a group. very nice though, cheap too.
coming out of mombasa airport goes into a shanty town type place, like most of the country, you will be shocked at the poverty. anymore questions let me know. it was the best time of my life, really wanna go back, i went as part of a chartie thing building a school so it was different than just a holiday, but it was brilliant.
