Ask him nicely once more for the money if he doesnt pay then the only other option is to threaten him...

ring him ask for the money. if he starts fobbon u off with excuses, then point out its been quite a while and he's rippin the piss.

then take one baseball bat to his knees and break.

if this dont make him pay then smash a bottle and stab him in the throat

Once again he can only do this if he has proof he has lent him the money...if he just handed him £400 as a helping hand to a friend, this guy could claim he never...there is no proof...

I feel we need to know if he has proof he has lent him money?

Yes this sounds a good option as it would shame him into paying..however I think he said he doesnt work with him no more...

Speak to him, say to him your rather hard up and if he cant fork out 400 notes in one go maybe he could give you it in instalments, be nice to him..........

If this doesnt work, kidnap one of his kids and hold them for ransom, if he still dont pay up, sell his kid for slave labour and get your money back.

i wouldn't class him as a mate, he obviously is taking the p!ss here.in this situation there is only two options.

a. play the good guy and ask nicely, threaten to tell his wife prolly you will get nowt back,he will just laff when you go away empty handed.

b. play the evil bastard, no really. tell him exactly what you will happen to him if the money isn't returned, never mind telling his wife (look him in the eye as you do this). give him a deadline, turn up early on that deadline so he isn't out at say 8pm on purpose. threats ain't much good unless you back it up i'm afraid be prepared. (have an alibi ready, maybe arrange for someone to take him for a friendly drive.)

this chump isn't your friend, real friends don't do that shit.
choose friends more carefully in future, never lend money that's what banks were invented for (even to family).

warning if you are offended by this reply wake up and smell the coffee.
