just brought my first sub! can anyone recomend me a good amp? ive brought a sony xs-l121p5 , its a 12" 1200watt peak power, 350 rated power.
any suggestions?
thinkin of a 2 channel amp and brigeing it unless any1 can tell me otherwise?

Personally i dont like Sony, i think theyre crap for Subs, speakers and amps, but alright on headunits.
Right, i would say get a mono amp seeing as youve got the one sub, and this one would suit it being Sony aswell...

different subs, different rated power so get something that can handle the subs either in a 4ohm or 2ohm load and provide enough rated power for both of them - ie: if each sub is 400wRMS, then you will need a 800wRMS amp

Thining of gettin 2 12" alpine type r subs( 1000w, 300wRMS each), and was planning on gettin the Alpine MRD M500 mono amp( 900w x1 Max. mono).Would that amp be able to cope with the 2subs?

You need to look at the rms figures and not the max figures!!!!! so u need a 2 channel amp that is 300watts per channel
