would i be ok if i put the power cap before the distribution block(splitting to two amps) or would it be better to buy another power cap and put them in after the dist block?

i very doubt that amp would put out the power you want it to, as i think those are all 4 ohm subs. 3x 4 ohm subs in paralell = 1.5 ohms

getting back to the cap question/...........lol
it dont matter to much where you put them, the only difference is thateither one amp or both will be drawing from it.
the componant amp shouldnt really need a cap as it wouldnt be putting out much bass, so sticking it in front of the dis block will just mean that the ex currents there if needed by either.
hope that helps

wen i first joined this site i was still learnin, therefore i bought stuff that would (hopefully) be useful in the future. When they were in the sale.
Dont know alot about leccy stuff in the car, only goin by wat i asumed would be right. Im ok with subs workin, to a reasonable standard, but i dont understand '3x4ohm subs in paralell=1.5ohm'. Gud/Bad/Indifferent, any explainations would be much appriciated (I only work in a bar i int that clever)

um yesh. numero uno. bin it
Nah being serious, its a 1 ohm stable amp, but it wont be giving its full power as your circuit will have a resistance of 1.5 ohms. You havent really got a matched lot there mate.
If you want to brush up on this look at the 'Speaker impedance' in the ICE section of the tutorials section.
