Just ordered a NetGear 108mbps WiFi Router & A PCI interface Card and a PC Card Interface card for my laptop,
Anybody had any experence wid any of the above products?!

Used to have a similar one. Router was in my room. I could go outside up to about the top of the field and still get a pretty good signal

just got my brodbnd router installed onto the main pc to signal down to the laptop, pretty good signal.

i got a wired netgear router and its pretty good. never had any problems
my mates got the wi-fi alternative in his house and shares it with 3 other pcs. no probs whatsoever and a piece of piss to set up

Just make sure you set up the encryption key, or else you could have someone sat outside your house with a laptop leeching your bandwidth!

If anyone wants to reccommend something for my dad to use then i would be grateful, I know quite a bit about networking but am new to the wireless stuff. He just needs something to connect laptop to his Desktop PC (with internet connection) as broadband wont be avaiable in his area for a while. Or is there a wireless ADSL router with ISDN backup?
