the fact that the 17s are et43 and the 15s are et 40 u wont get good handleing anyway
with any wheels on a corsa, if ur after handleing, et 45-49 allways

I've had ET40 with 195/45/15 tyres and had no problems at all.
I've also had ET42 with 195/50/15 rubber and it tramlined like a pig.

No real problems, but they're hardly ideal.

i ran et35 lowered 40mm on my corsa and the handling was fine.
tramlining is simply caused by the wide tyres following the profile of the road, nothing to do with offset

if tramlining is couse by the size of the tyres, cobra148 stated that 195/45 et40 was fine and 195/45 et42 tramline like a pig doesn't the two set up have the same size contact patch? i am all confuse could someone please clear this up for me? i really want to get 15" asap. but don't want to pay for the wrong set up again!

i have 15' x205 wheels on an ET35 offset. goes brilliant round corners!!!!
just the tires wear a bit dodgey cos it isnt lowered yet. i'm goin -60 this week, so that should stop the uneven tire wear.

The 'lower' the offset the more tramlining you are going to get.
Had Et35's on the missus's corsa, and it was a PIG.. Now have Et49 and its perfect, thats with the exact same tyres.. literally the same ones..
Stick with the manufactors standard offset as close as possible, putting the wheels out further causes tramlining, and straight line 'nervousness'..
I had Et35's on the ITR once (should be ET50) and it transformed a legendary handling car.. into a bag of shit.

The only plus point is you will get a sharper 'turn in', ie when you turn the reponce will be slightly quicker..

Mine wear on the inside & the car it is v.difficult to get the car to track straight they will wear worse on the front! Lowering it makes it worse unless you adjust the camber, as mine are noticeable cambered. 7x15" Superleggara's with 195x45, ET37, handles sweet. Had arches modified front & rear so I could have them, got them when they first came out, I saw them & fell in love!
