rite ive got a 12v!

can hold hold of a great 1.4 sport engine, but was wondering if its really worth it? i mean whats the cost of the conversion?

what do i need to change, can i use the loom/gearbox stillin and just change the block?

do i need to change brakes?

starting to wonder if its worth it. bear in mind i cant afford/and dont want a valver, and the gsi is a little out my price range insurance and the like

If you do it greg I might consider buying your 1litre lump and sticking it in mine if you are willing to go ahead with this?
It should be better than the 1.2 8v with equal torque and 10hp more. What mileage is it?

mike fitting that engine in your car will be fine but the wiring would be a pig. greg. personaaly u would b better waiting for a 1.6. off the 1.4 u will need engine,g.box, ecu, loom, etc

ewwww changing a 1.2 for a 1ltr?

Fair enought it has 12 valves but this is out shadowed by the fact it ONLY HAS 3 CYCLINDERS!

from what ive heard about this engine to work on and for reliability and cost of repairs...

dont do it man!

sorry if i fecked u the sale of your engine there buddy

Why dont you put you 12v back to standard, sell it as it has really low mileage.

Then buy a 1.4 sport or Sri?

This way you get everything you want and elec windows/mirrors etc (asuming yours doesnt).

I'm quite interested in a new engine, even the 12v. I don't think I would do the conversion myself - i dont have the equipment. Greg if you give me a good offer on the engine, I'll take it provided you throw in everthing I'll need.
