Whats the best type of sand paper to sand down bobbly plastic? wet dry? and after priming do i sand again?

And wot is the best body filler stuff to fill in gaps and spray over the top?

bridging filler for gaps, just use course wet and dry to start with then use finer wet and dry as u get to smooth it off

use fibre glass 2 bridge holes then filler 2 skim over the top i think! fibreglass is stronger than filler and wont shrink! iaz

something like smooth 7 body filler will do the trick,pretty much most fillers will be ok.
if you want a smooth finish on textured plastics use abit of plastic adhesive to start with then a few good coats of high build primer.flat that down with 600 wet.

k, cos im trying to fill a gape between my splitter and the bumper, any advice?

dont look a very good fit at the moment,is that how its gonna stay? you want the smallest gap possible so you dont have to use as much filler.this will cut the chances of cracks.

yer its sort of a real shit fit. that was sort of the best i could do, there is like a 1cm thick gap

as i said cut the lower lip off the bumper at the bottom then screw the splitter straight onto the bumper

the little lip thats causing the gap
the bit that held on the original rubber bit round the bumper's edge
trim it off then screw the splitter directly to the bumpers bottom edge
use small self tapping screws or small bolts only have to be 3mm wide then put washers each side to spread the load

oh and itd be much easier if you took the bumper off the car

how many screw did u undo?
there is 1 on each arch "under a little flap" 2 at the topmiddle and 5 along the bottom edge under neath

physically remove the first 2 bolts (one under flap and then middle of arch) so that the arch comes away (isnt connected) to the bumper, make sure all bolts are off (bottom), theres also another two bolts on bumper in the wheel arch place remove them and should come off with a pull
