MINI COOPER S
NEW GOLF GT TDI
CORSA 1.3 CDTi
ASTRA 1.7 CDTi
Was very suprised with the golf, they have really sorted the handling, and it felt far far faster than its supposed to be
Was very impressed with the 1.3 corsa, engine is excellent for what it is.
As for the mini, well I think its love
Opinions?

Its good tho, v quiet and efficient (common rail).
Plus turbo means tuning potential
Felt faster than my 1.2 16v C.
Mini is amazing, but yes it is a bit thirsty.

Sometimes it makes sense not too spend money developing an engine from scratch and just but someone else's. Its been happening for years.
I might be wrong but I heard Suzuki make the 1.2 16v Corsa engine.

What if skoda made our engines??
Can see a lot of mixed opinions from that comment lol
I wouldnt have a problem with that since all skoda engines are made by VW.
Dave is right. Plus GM have a share in Fiat.
Thats why the vectra has the 1.9 diesel from fiats and alfas in the veccy too.
Also why the 2.0 turbo veccy is a saab engine
And in japan the zafira is sold as a Subaru.

Mini is a wicked car imo..
I had a Mini ONE as a courtesy car, beat cars that it should no way have been near...
Just shows what good handling can do..
Never had such a laugh in a car before, tyres screeching on every corner, the feedback is absolutly superb.. gives you loads of confidence..
