what can i do so that i can use MSN in UNI?
I've been here for 3 years, and not once i'ved use msn here 
I only need it to talk to my mate whos at home.. doing groupcoursework

University and Large coporate networks dont normally allow use of messenger (with file sharing capabilties) as this introduces a clean way (tunnel) in for attacks and viruses

u can use errrr eyeball chat has an msn client in it but errr
trillian is a better client you can get them both from download.com
also if they dont work there is an msn client that you can connect to through a webpage something like e-messenger search on google for web based msn, hmmm think thats about it

you could also try using a proxy server set up at home or elsewhere off campus

my work place has just cut off the external msn... only have the internal one now

Be carful if they dont want you using it at Uni do not use it. If your breaking policy they'll simply remove your computer access
