right as some of you might klnow, im not a nmaster with wiring, so i have gathered some pics of the wiring i have got with my tv, to be linked up to ps2...

^^^ this i take goes into ps2, then does the red and yellow go into the red and yello part in the top pic?? Then where does the other end of the wire in the top pic go??
Then ive got these two:

all them coming from a box, which connects to tv yes?? but how?

Then ive got all them wires...
All help much appreciated cheers

rite.. looks like your screen has a mono speaker, if u want to use this for your sound, ignore the white phono plug, if you want to use the car sound system, whack the red and white into your aux in on your headunit (if you have them)! As for the other bits, i guess the box in the middle is an inverter? If so that needs 12v and ground, then your ps2 will plug in2 that as usual!

plug cable into ps2
plug white and red cables into your stereo OR ONE of them into the RED cable on the TV
plug the yellow one off the ps2 into the yellow on into the TV (ull need the connectors male 2 male as uve got in pic)
then plug the other end into the side of the TV
the invertor needs to be connected to a 12v power in car, fia a fuse (10 amp or whatever) this is the + wire
the other wires is earthed off the car body somewhere, it should have a switch on the side of it to turn it on/off
then the 3 pin plug off the ps2 goes into the invertor
the screen is usually 12v, so connect it as i said for the invertor, but only a 3amp fuse or so is needed, also some connect via a ciggy lights
hope it helps

Right..
Ive connected everything up and the tv switches on (fused to + battery grounded to - battery).
but my invertor doesnt switch on, from the pic of it theres two wires coming from the same place stuck together one fused, so thats connected to battery +, then the other wire with it im assuming is the ignition live??? And the one on it's own is the ground, as it has the 3 lines making a triangle sorta shape!
So why is my inverot not switching on?? Do i HAVE to connect the ignition live or not?? Or could it be something else??
Cheers, Gary

ignition live might act as a switch, meaning uve got it on when car is on, or maybe a relay is missing from the set up
tbh id buy a maplins one for like 20-30 quid

Also the wire you tried, try touching a clean point on the cars chassis with it to give it a ground, as we dont know what type relay it is.

Thats the invertor, and the wire circled blue is ground, the red is fused, and the white ignition live...
