there was one on ebay a couple of weeks ago that went for around that price. I thought it was stupid to spent that much ££ on a metro, until i saw the "too fast to race" rally documentary about the group B cars, and OMG!!!! I want one!

fook that, the gearbox has no gates/gaitor (want really listening, was still in awe) so its solid to change gears, easy to miss em, and a gearbox re-build costs over £5k so dnt think id risk fookin it up

xj220 was a twin turbo v6, and as far as im aware shares noting with the 6r4 engine, as that is a cut down rover v8

just what i was told by the owner

''The engine design was then sold to TWR (Tom Walkenshaw Racing) and after some development work on the cambelts and plenums, the engine would make a re-appearance; initially in 3.5-litre form in the Group C Jaguar racing cars, but then in the back of the sensational 217mph Jaguar XJ220.''

it might share i componant or to, but i can't see why jag, who were and are still owned by ford, would use a 30 year old Rover engine design and twin turbo it to prodcue 217mph

yep, still not 100% sure, as i've got the documentry on the xj220, and they were gonna use a v12, but for cost went for a v6 tt, no mention of a borowed design

no doubt though that the 6r4 is a beast
