My mates been offered a subaru impreza 2.0L for £3300
he's only 19, what are the chances of him getting insured on it and are there any companies which are willing to insure young drivers on powerful motors??
he only wants 3rd party fire and theft

very unlikly mate  Or if they will it will be a pretty heavy price
Best bet mate, is to do the phone around and see what they say. Although i wouldnt recommend 3rd party mate, fair enough it will be cheaper, but they isnt much difference between 3rd party and fully comp 
Although that does seem pretty cheap for the preza though mate  if hes really serious about it, get it checked out and got for a drive in it make sure nothing fooked

A person who I used to know had a P1 as thier first car! Dunno how much insurance was though. It'll be lots I guess, somthing like £3-4k

Odds on he's gonna smash it up.
As for insurance quotes, try Adrian flux. Nismo is with them with his RX7, he was 19 when he got it i think, pays around £2000.
