Tis rather quick... writes dvd's in about 7 mins Still in the process of archiving off all my downloads

Deffo recommended though (I searched the net looking for recommendations and everyone just pointed at this drive)

Yeah... found it on SVP for £90, but then checked a computer fair that's just down the road today and got it for £80, so I saved myself £10 plus the delivery cost

I just paid £136 for a Sony DVD Writer. Does DVD+R at 8x, DVD-R at 4x. Am happy with it even though I know there's cheaper out there.

This does 8x at +R/-R, but I haven't got any 8x disks so it's not really that important at the mo

I heard some 4x disks will burn at 8x? Anyone know which ones? Verbatim aren't they?

I got the 25pk Spindle of DVDs from Dabs whcih say in the reviews on there that they will burn at 8x, but haven't tried them yet.
