My friend has just bought a CD Player for his Audi a5 (i think), but it doesnt seem to have a perminant Live (either red of yellow wire), Anyone here know anything about it? I think its R reg.
It keeps the power for a while, but as soon as u take the key out the ignition, it looses all the memory, and like i said, neither wire seems to be perminant.

have you tried swaping the red and yellow wires over?

yes.

And neither of them are perminant (like i said)

thats just odd, try running one from fuse box or battery?, you tested them with a multimeter?

yeah been tested with MM, like i say they appear to be normal, but once the key is removed and car locked etc it looses power.

only way seems to be to run a new +'ve feed then.

join red and yellow together then connect to power....

tried that, but neither of them wires are a perminant feed so it wont make the slightest bit of difference.
