I hate my uni course, Product Design. I want to eventually be a car designer. what do i do stick it out for another 3 years or leave and try to get in another way?? help

i hated my uni course and left after 1.5 years. not regretting it at all.

if you're set on being a car designer, find another route to get to that position if you don't like product design. maybe slyly ask your tutor how to get there.

its either straight into car design or through product design. i would go straight in but i dnt want to end up with no job and no other design skills behind me if you get what i mean. there arent many car design jobs going.

there is transport design.

i think about 4 in the country, huddersfield, coventry and some other places.

i applied for them but fucked it off because i know the competition is way too strong.

Same as me, always wanted to become a car designer, in my first year at college doing a national dip. in art and design...got to do it just to get to uni, but i think i'm gonna go into graphic design or product design like yourself kirsty as the competition is just immense for car designers

A friend of mine did some kind of Transport/Car Design course at Uni. possibly at Sheffield but I can't remember. Designs for TVR now and gets to take home any TVR any time he wants.
