Had an email from a Spanish man wanting to buy my mini -...

''Thanks for the mail.this is the only way i can pay for it becos my client told me he will not give me in cash.he told me he will only issue the seller a cashier check of the money is owing me (4,500 pounds).what you have to do is,he will send you the check and when you receieve the check, you have to take it to your bank to verify it and when the check clears in your bank, you will deduct the cost of the mini (2,250 pounds)and send the remaining funds(2,250 pounds) to my shipper who will come to your destination and do the pick up of the mini.i will like you to get back to me asap with your info if you are okay with this.hope to hear from you soon. Thanks''

hmmm. I'm just thinking if i cash out £2,250 from the bank. Then surely i've got the money and he can't touch it. Even if it is some sort of tax scam or something.?

rite. I think i will email back saying. The only way i will sell this car to you is a follows -

You send me £2250 via online banking to my bank account number XXXXXXXX. After that money has cleared (and i've moved it out of my account!) I will allow your shipper to come and collect the vehicle, however you will have paid the shipper all relevant fees.

If he agrees to that then there's no way i can be skanked is there?

showed my dad the email - hes a lawyer- he's almost certain its a money laundering scam. So warning to any of you out there - be very careful.
