I had to file down the "punches" on the top rod to take the handles apart. When fitting them, do I have to re-punch them, and if so, how?

i didn't and mine have been on for a good few months and are fine. i doubt they are gonna move anywhere, so just leave em

i just fixed the rod to electric drill and pulled it out spinning same to put back in
|

i punched mine back again with a punch. but i they should be ok, i just did mine because thats how thay are from factory. there held in pretty tight.
have you looked at my guide?

I didn't punch mine as I didn't have a tool that could do it. They fitted quite tightly back in so I just ran the risk. 1 year on and they're still okay (touch wood)!

i just pullled mine out
and bashed them back in
erm you could wrap a litlle tape round the inner bit to stop it from moving any where
or if you have a soldering iron just solder a little lump onto the bar

That's freaky! I did this last night after posting, couldn't figure out any other way to do it

I havent got a clue what any of your are on about they just clip in and out? You dont have to punch anything to fit a door handle?

i took the rod out that connects handle to the rest of it for spraying
