i looked under my oil cap today and saw that creamy stuff, and was so p1ssed, and also theres been a lil bit of black smoke coming outta the exhaust and some steam does this mean my head gasket is going out the window or has it already gone? also the engine has been overheating while i'v been driving (not in traffic) does that also mean my thermostat is damaged?
cheers folks

they are all the symptoms of blown head gasget. also check the water level, it will keep dropping as the water is seeping into the oil.

creamy stuff is condenstaion due to short journeys. i used to get it loads in winter, its now starting to clear as weather is alittle warmer and i have new job so i travel alot more now
Check for oil in water, loss of water in expansion tank etc. loads of stuff u can check. do a search mate loads of stuff on here

>check levels of water in expansion tank if its loosing lots check for leaks first then if no leaks its likely to be leaking into the bores
when u start the car up does it misfire?
excessive white smoke?
creamy sludge on the oil filler cap?
and your best bet is to have a sniffer test for exhaust gasses in the expansion tank or a compression test to check this for sure.
