Just bought a new pc the other day and picked it up today. Went to turn it on and it told me that basically it was buggered. So got on the phone to customer service they try to fix and say it summit to do with the hard drive.

Now i have to buy a stupid disc for like £7 to fix the problem, if that even work. NOT HAPPY

What do people suggest best plan of action??

Um where did you buy it from? Surely if it's brand new it should work first time...

No bought it from currys, cost me 1k to buy and i'm not happy one bit cos it just doesn't work at all. The guy on the end of the phone said do a system restore and even that didn't work.

Now i'm having to spent £7 that i shouldn't have to spend at all cos it should have worked to start with

I work at Curry's

Go in to Customer Services, kick up a fuss, say you want a new one and you aint paying any extra, they'll probably have to order you one in from the Warehouse, (2-4 days) but you should be entitiled to a new one anyway :S

yeah trading standards crap etc...within the 28 days they must give you a replacement or a full refund if faulty and after that its usually repair or replace unless its damage caused by wear + tear or urself
