alright lads
ive got a 1.2 LS M.reg corsa
wondering what induction kit i could get on it.
i need a way of gaining more power out of her (on a budget), any ideas?
whats the biggest alloys i can fit on her without arch modification, it hasnt been lowered.
will a de-cat pipe do alot for me, and are exhausts engine-size specific or can i just bolt on a back box and still have a power gain?
Thanks for reading this, any comments will be appreciated

filters hardly do anything mate to be honest

de cat will probs just give ya a bit more throttle response,

wheels ya can put 17's on if ya get the right offset (et45 - et49)

what budget have ya got by the way?

dont bother with an induction kit matey for about a 40 (cost of ducting hose) drill the airbox, and put a performance panel filter in. theres a tutorial around here somewhere, but these are alot better to induction kits IMO

just drill your airbox m8
ind kits are complete shit unless u can afford a vipor filter

get a decat pipe and then a full stainless exhaust from cat-back your talkin no more than 300 quid here for the lot and this will give it just that little bit extra although do not expect miracles

and if u can afford it chip the car not worth it but its basically the only bolt on mod left for on that engine

Not being rude, but if youve got an excess 150 quid coming in a month, why didnt you just get a 16v model, and spending 6-700 quid on alloys would have been the extra insurance money on an sri?
theres no point modifying a 45 bhp car.

now i feel bad, as if ive told you off

I take it its a 1.2 8v?

IMHO, I'd go for a panel filter, (if you look in the top of your airbox, theres a cone shape thing - if you pop this out it'll help too). You actually lose bhp with IK's on these...

Wouldnt bother with a decat, these engines are very dependant on back pressure, and mine felt hesistant til i put a cat back on.

Hope this helps,
Ash.

There are many tutorials on drilling the airbox, even with pics, its free and just as effective. just make sure you always drill below the line of the filter or else you'll get all sorts of shite getting into the inlet.

Yes drilled airbox and performance panel filter, gives a nice roaring noise and IMO gets rid of some flatspots/more responsive!!
Also instead of saving for wheels, why not save ya pennies and get something worth tuning and stick it out with ya 1.2 8v for a bit.. then maybe a 1.4 sri or 1.4 sport 16v...just an idea mate
