cudnt start it up again.
was on a slope so tried to jump it with no success.
got mates to come try charge battery. didnt work
prob flooded engine with oil, so got towed home.
mid way we stopped as his car struggled to tow me so went to get another car.
anyways while gettin towed battery died down, horn didnt work, hazard lights gradually died.
with it or or off the blinkers kept goin crazy 
would it jus be a new battery i need?
or that thing forgot what its calle to charge the battery while drivin

The alt will be cheap to replace/renew. Have you checked the belt is still on?
Take the alt and battery to a garage and check both.
